All volunteering activities during or outside meditation retreats offer an opportunity for you to make a positive contribution to the development of the center and the Buddhist community as a whole.
If you are interested in participating in volunteering activities, please contact us via email at “thichcathienvienusa@gmail.com” or meet and speak directly with Bhante Sangha Palo or Bhante Kusala Mula.
The following are the areas where we require assistance:
1. Volunteers Needed for Cooking and Cleaning during Meditation Retreats
Our center regularly organizes 10-day or 3-day meditation courses with attendance ranging from 40 to 65 monks, nuns, and students. Throughout the courses, participants are provided with two meals per day, breakfast at around 6:30 am and lunch at around 10:45 am, all of which are vegetarian. We are in need of assistance with cooking or helping to clean the dining hall during these courses.
2. Landscaper and Gardener
We are looking for a landscaper or a gardener to assist us in maintaining our center, which is situated on the hills of Riverside, CA and covers an area of over 4 acres. In order to provide visitors and participants of our meditation retreats with a serene and picturesque environment, we require help with garden care and landscape design.
Furthermore, the meditation center requires assistance in various activities to maintain a clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing environment. Our aim is to ensure that visitors experience a peaceful atmosphere akin to returning to a familiar and tranquil home. If you are visiting and feel that you can contribute to the center, please do not hesitate to speak directly with Bhante Sangha Palo or Bhante Kusala Mula.
