Commencement of the Vassa Ceremony at the Sakyamuni Buddhist Meditation Center on August 1st and 2nd, 2023

- The Sangha’s Food Offering and the Rain-Robe Offering Ceremony.
- Chanting prayers for protection and prosperity at a newly purchased house adjacent to the Sakyamuni Buddhist Meditation Center’s campus. The house has been named the “Migāramātā-pubbārāma” monastery.
- Chanting of the “The Setting in Motion of the Wheel of the Dhamma” Sutta, accompanied by the lighting of candles during the Dhamma Day Ceremony (which coincides with the full moon of June in the Lunar Calendar).
- Commencement of the Vassa Ceremony.
