The bilingual Vietnamese-English book Sự Thật của Giáo Pháp ◦ The Truth of the Dhamma is a collection of excerpts from the Dhamma talks I gave from 1989 to 2012 during meditation retreats, encompassing doctrines, practice methods, and my direct experience.
Now, despite my old age, declining health, blurred vision, hearing loss, and body pain, I still try to support this meritorious Dhamma work by explaining, supplementing, and elucidating certain details in my past discourses, with the wish that Buddhist devotees and meditators will grasp the doctrines and practice the fundamental practices in this book. Additionally, the realization of a bilingual book fulfills my aspiration to transmit Buddhist doctrines to devotees who understand English better than Vietnamese, the language I usually use when preaching the Dhamma.
I wish that this gift of the Dhamma Jewel will continue to convey the noble Teaching of the Blessed One to all of you on my behalf. That is my wish and also my great joy at the end of my life’s journey in practicing the Dhamma in my homeland and abroad.”
