INVITATION TO CELEBRATE VESAK DAY 2024 & JOIN DHUTANGA NIGHT
Theravada Buddhism observes Vesak Day every year on the full moon day of April (Lunar Calendar) to commemorate three significant events in the life of Gautama Buddha: The Birthday, The Enlightenment Day, and Nirvana Day. This year, the Sakyamuni Buddhist Meditation Center is excited to host our 2023 Vesak Day celebration and Dhutanga Night:

To assist us with the reception preparations for the event, we kindly request that monks and nuns who plan to attend please inform us by phone or email at least 3-5 days in advance.
DHUTANGA NIGHT ( NIGHT OF AUSTERITY & MEDITATION)
To celebrate the Vesak Festival, we invite you to join us for Dhutanga Night, a Sitting Only Ascetic Practice Night, to honor the life and teachings of the Buddha.
